Calendar for Written answers to the General Queries
Our Book of Discipline directs that the written answers to the 9 General Queries have to be provided at specific times so that answers can be forwarded to, and reviewed at the appropriate Quarterly Meeting.
Providing written answers to the general queries is part of our Gospel Order, and provides a mechanism whereby we can be mutually accountable to each other for the way we behave as individuals, meetings and as the Church. Without that mutual accountability, we cannot encourage ourselves and each other to walk as Christians.
Below is a table which lays out when specific queries need to be answered. It is usually two queries per quarter. As there are 9 General Queries, three queries are answered in the 1st quarter.
The answers to the Queries from each Meeting are to be forwarded to our Clerk, Ian Barnett by the 2nd month of each quarter.
